What we do

A crew built for the trees that scare everyone else

Six services. Every one of them ends with the property cleaned up before we leave.

Extra-large tree removal

Our own crane, trees over 100 feet, tight spots between houses and power lines. This is what we're known for.

Tree removal

Residential and commercial properties, any size that doesn't need the crane — handled with the same care.

Asset protection

Managing the trees that could reach a roof, a line, or a fence — handled on a calendar, not in an emergency.

Crane-assisted removal for the trees other crews walk away from

Most companies won't quote a tree this size. We take down 100-footers boxed in by houses, fences, and power lines, and we control where every section lands.

Before the estimate

What actually goes into the price

Most companies quote a number and leave you guessing. Tree work is expensive, and it's fair to want to know why before you hear it. Here's what TC is looking at when he walks your property.

01

Size and spread

Height is only half of it. A wide, heavy canopy takes more rigging and more time than a tall, narrow one of the same height.

02

What's underneath it

The same tree in an open field and over a roof are two different jobs. Proximity to houses, fences, pools, and power lines is usually the biggest single factor.

03

Access

How close the crane and chipper can get. Parking beside the tree is a very different day than carrying every piece two hundred feet by hand.

04

Crane or climb

The crane isn't automatically the expensive option. On the right tree it means fewer hours on site and far less risk to everything below it.

05

Condition of the tree

Dead, hollow, or leaning trees can't be climbed the way a healthy one can. That changes how it has to come down.

06

Where the wood goes

Hauled off, chipped on site, or left cut for firewood — plus whether the stump gets ground. Each one changes the price, and it's your call.

The estimate is free, and it's a conversation. TC will walk the property, tell you what the tree needs — and what it doesn't — and give you a number before anyone starts work.

You'll be talking to the person who runs the job, not a salesman working a script.

Plan ahead

The cheapest version of this job is the one you schedule

You have a beautiful property. A tree that's declining, leaning, or growing into the lines doesn't have to turn into an emergency — and handled on an ordinary Tuesday, it's a smaller job than the same tree across your roof after a storm.

  • A planned removal can be scheduled around your week instead of a downed line.
  • Dealt with early, there's time to protect the lawn, the fence, and the flower beds.
  • No emergency call-out, no insurance claim, no waiting behind everyone else in the neighborhood.

Every service, in plain terms

Here's exactly what Pro Trees does, and where each one fits your property.

Flagship

Extra-large tree removal

Crane-assisted removals of trees 100+ feet tall, in confined spaces between structures, fences, and power lines. This is the job that separates Pro Trees from a general tree company — we own the crane, we run it ourselves, and we've taken down multiple 100-footers in a single job for a commercial client, finishing in three days on a very tight site. If a tree scares your regular guy, this is the call.

Tree removal

Standard removals for residential and commercial properties — dead, diseased, storm-damaged, or simply in the wrong spot. Full cleanup included every time.

Tree trimming

Pruning for tree health and appearance — reducing weight, clearing deadwood, and shaping growth so trees stay strong and look right for years.

Asset protection

A walk of the property to find the trees that could reach something you care about — and a plan for them on a calendar instead of in an emergency. Some get removed, some get trimmed, and some just get watched.

Residential care

Ongoing tree work for homeowners — removals, trims, and hazard assessments sized to a house lot, not a commercial site.

Commercial services

Multi-tree jobs for property managers, HOAs, and businesses — coordinated scheduling and crane logistics for larger sites.

About Pro Trees

35 years in. Owner-operated. When you call, you get TC.

Pro Trees LLC is based in New Albany, Indiana, and works both sides of the river — Louisville and Southern Indiana. Behind it are 35 years of experience in tree work: not a startup, not a franchise, and not somebody who bought a chainsaw last spring.

It's owner-operated, which means the person quoting your job, running the crane, and standing on your property when the tree comes down is the same person: TC. Customers who've worked with Pro Trees know him by name. No call center, and no wondering who is actually in charge on the day.

Call and you'll reach a professional, not a salesman — it's right there in the name. Free estimates on every job, residential or commercial, and the reputation is built on the ones other tree services won't take: trees over 100 feet tall, boxed in by houses, fences, and power lines, brought down with a crane and cleaned up completely.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What are your service areas?

Louisville, Southern Indiana, and the surrounding areas around New Albany — Pro Trees works both sides of the river.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes — every estimate is free, whether it's a single backyard tree or a multi-tree commercial job.

How long have you been doing this?

35 years in tree work. Pro Trees is owner-operated, so that experience is on your property, not just on the letterhead.

Why is tree work so expensive?

Because size, what's underneath the tree, access, and cleanup all change the job — see what goes into the price on the home page. The estimate is free, and TC will explain the number before any work starts.

Can you remove really large or hard-to-reach trees?

That's our specialty. Pro Trees runs its own crane and regularly takes down trees over 100 feet tall in tight spots between houses, fences, and power lines — the jobs other crews turn down.

Do you clean up after the job?

Yes. Full debris removal and cleanup is part of every job, not an add-on.

Do you handle commercial properties, not just homes?

Yes — Pro Trees has taken on multi-tree commercial jobs, including removing three trees over 100 feet for a mutual ownership corporation in Camp Taylor, finished in three days.

How do I get a quote?

Call (502) 680-6337, email protreestreeservice@gmail.com, or send a request from the Contact page — it goes straight into our scheduling system and TC follows up directly.

"Pro Trees did an Outstanding job of getting our tree down and cleaning up all the debris that this tree kept leafing (haha) all year round... Every year the tree looked more and more like it was dying, so we finally decided to have it taken out & Pro Trees did it in a snap... We cant thank them enough for doing the job & all the clean up like the tree was never even there. I had them leave a three foot stump, so I could create a little bird area with a birdbath & a fountain in it on the stump, feeders and I'll put some little trinkets around the bottom. Pro Trees did the job just as we asked & more. Great job Guys! Thanks again"
